PSDImporter is a powerful plugin that helps you seamlessly transfer your Photoshop designs to Figma. While we strive for perfect conversion, there are some technical limitations and differences between the two platforms that you should be aware of.
Figma doesn't have built-in support for importing PSD files. Our plugin fills this gap by providing a seamless way to import your Photoshop designs into Figma. It preserves layer structure, maintains text properties, and handles complex layer styles, making it the ideal solution for transferring your PSD designs to Figma.
Figma and Photoshop have different rendering engines and feature sets. While we strive for maximum accuracy, some Photoshop-specific features may be interpreted differently in Figma. This is especially true for complex effects, blending modes, and certain layer styles.
Some Photoshop layers are imported as images when they contain effects or properties that cannot be directly translated to Figma's native elements. This includes complex layer styles, certain blending modes, or when the layer contains rasterized content that cannot be vectorized.
Currently, some features are not fully supported, including: Drop Shadow effects, certain blending modes, and some Photoshop-specific filters. We're continuously working to improve feature support and compatibility.
You can try our plugin with 3 free PSD imports to test how it works with your files. After that, we offer a subscription plan at $8 per month for unlimited PSD imports. This allows you to confidently test the plugin before committing to a subscription.
The plugin processes PSD files on our servers to ensure maximum speed and efficiency. This server-side processing allows us to handle complex PSD files quickly and provide better conversion quality.
Currently, there are no rate limits for our plugin. However, we reserve the right to implement rate limiting if we detect abuse of the system. This ensures fair usage and optimal service for all users.
